My Inspiration
I am fascinated as an artist with the rich Wyoming and Montana heritage I was raised in. In my recent explorations with textures and colors, I have discovered that the blending of realism with the abstract gives the viewer an opportunity to make personal observations and even reach beyond my own concept for the painting. Another goal I have is to portray the human experience within the broad context of the Western culture. My inspiration is rooted in the concepts of: old West versus the modern West, ranch and small town life as seasons change, the connections we forge with each other and our animals, and God's gracious provision in nature.
